4 of our own products running in production

Independent automation, AI and cloud consulting from the Netherlands

Stop doing by hand
what software should do.

Most businesses lose hours every week to copy-paste between systems, spreadsheets doing the job of a database, and hand-offs that wait on a person. I find that work and replace it with software, integrations, AI and cloud infrastructure built to keep running.

Services

Three ways in — usually in this order

Find out what is actually costing you. Automate the work that should not be manual. Run it on infrastructure that does not need babysitting.

Consulting & audits

Architecture, IT and cloud audits. We map what you actually have, find what is costing you time, money or sleep, and hand you a prioritised plan. Implement it yourself, with your own team, or with us.

  • Architecture & systems review
  • Cloud cost and security check
  • Prioritised roadmap you keep

Software & automation

Replace repetitive manual work with software, integrations and AI. Systems that talk to each other, reports that write themselves, hand-offs that no longer wait on a human.

Cloud & deployment

Infrastructure, CI/CD, observability and deployment pipelines built to run reliably without unnecessary complexity.

  • Infrastructure as code
  • GitHub and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Monitoring, alerting and cost control

AI for companies

AI where it earns its place

A model is another tool, not a strategy. We put one on a step only when it is cheaper and more reliable than a script, an integration, or a person with a checklist.

Find the work worth a model

During the audit we mark which manual steps are a prompt, which are a few lines of code, and which should stay a person. You keep that map even if you never hire us to build.

  • Document-heavy and copy-paste work
  • Repeat questions, routing and hand-offs
  • A clear no when a script would do

Put it inside the process you already have

Extraction, classification, summarisation and drafting wired into the tools your team already opens. The result lands where the spreadsheet used to — with a person in the loop where being wrong is expensive.

  • Read PDFs, mail, tickets and forms
  • Tag, route and draft in place
  • Human review on the costly calls

Agents that can use your tools

Models that call your APIs, search your docs and fetch the web with an audit trail — not a chat window bolted onto a broken process. We run AfterImage, a shared hashed cache of the public web for AI agents, in production.

  • MCP and tool-calling with guardrails
  • Internal search with sources you can check
  • AfterImage in production — HTTP & MCP

Run it like the rest of the stack

If it cannot be monitored, cost-capped and handed to your team, it is a demo. We treat model calls the same way we treat the rest of your infrastructure.

  • Logging, spend caps and fallbacks
  • Checks against your real examples
  • Handover your own team can operate

How we work

Audit first. Build second.

You do not need to arrive knowing what to automate — working that out is the first job, and it is a small one.

  1. 01

    Audit

We go through your systems, your integrations and the work your people repeat by hand. Scoped and time-boxed, with no commitment to build anything.

  2. 02

    Recommendations

You get findings and a prioritised plan: what to fix, what to automate, what to leave alone, and what each one is worth. Yours to keep, whoever ends up doing the work.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We build and run what you green-light — automation, AI, integrations, infrastructure — and hand over something your own team can operate.

Proof of work

I do not just advise. I ship.

Four products I designed, built, launched and now run in production — the same way I build for clients.

AfterImage

afterimage.page

Don't scrape it twice.

A shared copy of the public web for AI agents. If another agent already fetched a page, yours reuses that copy — timestamp plus sha256 of the raw bytes — instead of scraping again. Search over HTTP or MCP.

About

A one-person Dutch studio that builds and runs its own software

Arcadia Studios is my independent studio — a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak / ZZP) in the Netherlands. I work with businesses that have outgrown their spreadsheets: manual processes, systems that do not talk to each other, and infrastructure nobody wants to touch.

Building and running my own products keeps me honest. Everything I recommend to a client is something I live with myself — including the boring parts: uptime, cost, and the failure at two in the morning.

No hand-offs, no account managers. You talk to me — Ruan Mentz.

Start with an audit

Tell me where the manual work is — or where you think a model should take it. I will look at your systems and come back with what is worth fixing first. Worst case, you walk away with a plan and a second opinion.
